Also known as “caviar lentils,” Beluga lentils develop a nutty aroma when cooked, reminiscent of chestnuts. Their unique flavor and striking black color make them stand out among other lentil varieties. Unlike beans or other types of lentils, Beluga lentils don’t require soaking before cooking; they can be cooked directly from their dried state. Ours come from 100% Austrian origin and certified organic farming.
Beluga lentils are almost always sold dried. The fresher they are, the quicker they cook.
