What does Organic Austria stand for?

Organic Austria stands for the highest domestic organic quality, without compromise. Organic Austria represents more than a thousand Austrian organic farms and is thus not only the largest Austrian organic association, but also the largest association for organic farming in Europe.

The Organic Austria Seal

It identifies organic food products that meet the criteria of Organic Austria quality and is primarily found on directly marketed organic products.

The Organic Austria seal not only stands for compliance with the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation – the highest uniformly regulated food standard in Europe – but also for the association’s own production guidelines, which go beyond these. This is a set of rules that is continuously developed by Organic Austria farmers with regard to the values of ecology, animal welfare, fairness, and responsibility. This ensures an “extra” level of quality, animal welfare, environmental, climate, and biodiversity protection.
