Unlike classic Styrian pumpkin seed oil, our organic virgin pumpkin seed oil is not roasted, but gently cold-pressed. This preserves the original character of the pumpkin seeds particularly well. The oil features a mild, delicately nutty note and a characteristic bright green color.

We use only selected pumpkin seeds from Austrian organic agriculture for production. These are pressed directly at the Schalk Mühle without prior roasting, ensuring the sensitive nutrients of the kernel remain fully intact.

By avoiding roasting, the temperature-sensitive vital substances are preserved in their purest form. This virgin oil scores with unsaturated fatty acids, plenty of vitamin E, zinc, and phytosterols. Furthermore, the cold pressing protects valuable antioxidants such as chlorophyll and lutein, which also give the oil its characteristic light green color.
