Lentil chips for mild summer evenings

Do you fancy a high-protein snack for mild summer evenings? Then we have just the thing for you: these delicious lentil chips are not only healthy, but also super easy to prepare! Perfect for a cosy evening in the garden or on the terrace.

Ingredients:

• 100 g brown lentils @schalkmuehle
• 1 tbsp pumpkin seed protein @schalkmuehle
• 2 tbsp corn starch
• 1 tsp paprika powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
• 1/2 red onion
• Spices of your choice
• 100 ml water

Preparation:

1. Cook the brown lentils until soft. Then purée them together with the other ingredients in a blender until a smooth mixture forms.
2. Lightly spray a sheet of baking paper with oil and spread the lentil mixture on it as thinly as possible. Also lightly spray the surface of the mixture with oil.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan) for 15 minutes.
4. Cut the chips into the desired shape and bake for another 15 minutes until crispy.

Enjoy your lentil chips best while they are still warm – for example with a delicious dip such as guacamole. A healthy snack that not only fills you up, but also tastes really good!
